Reflecting on last night, we were legitimately worried that Rhonda would sink into the soft soil as rain ruthlessly poured for hours. Luckily, Rhonda proved resilient by morning but we had bigger issues to deal with. Hitching up Frankie J to Rhonda has been a breeze the past two days so our confidence today was at an all-time high, but after a solid 30 minutes of attempting to line up the hitch while being pelted with rain we still couldn't line her up. If anyone was watching us for that hour span they would have thought we were amateur road trippers who had never towed a camper... oh wait, well, technically they would be correct; however, with some patience we succeeded and hit the road yet again.
Our trip to Minneapolis was a breeze, passing through towns with populations in the double digits. Hannah helped with navigation along with taking the reigns and putting in a couple hours of driving time. Additionally, she successfully found an economical hotel in the city with room for our companions Frankie J and Rhonda. Who would have thought? Showing up at the hotel, they were already expecting us and allowed us to park our friends next to some of the large service trucks. Needless to say, Frankie J and Rhonda are living easy in the Twin Cities.
Tomorrow, we are intentionally stepping out of our comfort zone yet again as we meet with a local hero who is doing some pretty amazing work in the city. Stay tuned.
Today we find graditude in learning patience, transitioning from rural sites to urban streets, and free high-speed internet.
